im working on a special project to convert a 1995 toyota celica

2.0L 16v to a celica ST205 and even more.

so far i have installed 4 disk Brembo brakes : 280mm (front) ,230mm(rear)

and AWD system from the celica ST205 ,now in process we are trying to fit

6 speed gear from the new celica(2003) .

im looking for company like "JE " or "ROSS" for cylinders for high boost

(at least 1.8-1.9 Bar) the car will run on about 580-600HP without NOS

if someone can help me with the cylinders i will thank him.

Are you having a laugh?

You have actually converted a GT to a 4wd GT4?

Im sorry, i dont like to call people liars but i honestly cannot believe this until i see pictures.

You could NEVER justify the amount of work involved, if your going to build a 500+bhp celica you DONT make a FWD car into a RWD car. I mean you would have to be crazy.

You would start with a REAL GT4. Also the 6 speed box from the Gen7 Celica IS NOT ABLE TO RUN 4WD as it is only a fwd box.

Not going to happen im afraid, to actually carry such a conversion out would cost thousands!

It would be cheaper to buy an ex TTE ST205 rally car.

Im sorry but i think your telling porkies

Are you in the UK or the states? If your in the UK you should have come across Fensport who can supply pistons.

Also if you DID do this conversion how have you managed to attach the rear transmission box to the chassis? It just completely crazy, kinda like buying a Yaris and trying to make a Supra out of it.

The 4WD conversion is possible (indeed it has been done), but there is no possible way to make the later 6 speed box fit. The only 6 speed options are x-trac, this is prohibitively expensive.

And why install inferior brakes compared to the stock ST205? 315 mm vented disks all round.

I call BS on this post

first of all i said that we are TRYING to fit the 6 speed gear box ,

i didnt say that its already done.

second , about building this project on a standard ST205 ,

we couldnt do it ,im from israel all the turbo versions never got here

and cant be imported even by special import.

the awd system was three weeks work nonstop (6-7 hours a day)

and its been done before (the idea was taken from american project that was

done 2 year ago).

the 280mm discs was in the stock ,theres an order of new 2 discs 330mm vented

and the rear discs will stay .

theres a T66 double ball bering stage 5 waiting to be installed

injectors 1000cc , and HKS exohst system (3 inch) + headers ,

fuel pump , mf2 , HKS chip ,HKS front intercooler ,HKS air filter ,

4 pices of 17/245/35 semi sliks tyres set , apexi boost controler ,

motec master computer and more that i have probably forgot .

if you think im a liar wait till this project will be done and the dyno test will be

uploaded here...

by the way im still looking for company for high boost cylinders ,

i need a special measures and posibility to run under high boost (1.8-1.9 Bar)

and a hood of theturbo version.

OK, if you are serious then fine :D You tend to find a lot of people talking crap around internet car forums!

The 6-speed box from the gen 7 celica will NEVER handle that much power. It will cost you a vast amount of money and time to fit it and then break it so don't bother.

You need either the x-trac (which will have to be made on special order and cost $20,000 plus) or stick with the ST205 5-speed box which should handle the sort of power you ar etrying to achieve.

For pistons, try CP which are very good. Terry at www.grd4spd.com in the USA can help you there. You'll also need some rods, try Pauter - again www.grd4spd.com can supply.

You will also require a twin-plate clutch e.g. HKS, OS-Giken, Ogura Racing Clutch, Exedy or Clutchmasters. Terry can supply the Clutchmasters, or www.takakaira.co.jp will supply the others.

600 bhp is extremely difficult to attain with any 2 litre engine. Expect to break a few things before you get it right. Good luck!

thank you for the information.

about the clutch ,i have already 2 pices from clutchmasters.

about the 600HP from 2 liters engine ,i know it will be hard but after a dyno test

of 1.8L engine that i have seen with 570 HP on 1.5 BAR , now im positive that its

posible.

my planing is to reach higher boost so i belive i 'll do even more.

the gear hendls the power prety good (so far) ,we tested it against a havy modified impreza wrx sti, the impreza runs on 1.5bar boost, the celica on 0.4bar with picks to 0.8 and the results were amazing...

i'll upload the video tomorrow.

why are certain members of TOC suffering from 11 stone heads and think they know everything.

I think these members make this is a very unfriendly club and people who are trying to gain advice or contacts may as well whistle to the wind. I would prefer not to put my two pence worth in, caling people liars, it is simpler not posting a reply if you cannot follow the topic or help this guy.

Personally, i think you are going to have a fantastic Celica given the constraints of your location, Israel, and the cars you have to work with as stock. Best of luck. I cant wait to see some pictures and learn how you are developing.

as far as contacts, im sorry but your project, whilst very worthy, is a bit out of my league. I will ask the friendly guy's at another forum i use. will help in any way i can.
