Hi All

I have owned a 1972 TA22 2TB Celica for about 8 years - she has had complete bottom half engine rebuild, been resprayed twice and generally tinkered with, but nothing to special.

I would like to either a) get the existing original carns refurbished or cool.gif replace them with some webers or similar.

Does anyone have advise of where I may get the originals refurbished or how I would go about exchanging for webers.

I have a plan that I may, at some point, rally prepare the car and enter into classic rallys. Anyone done that?

Thanks

Ricey.

Hi and welcome,

things like repair kits and jets should still be available at Toyota since the 2T-B was used upto the 1984 TA60. However, if you want to prep your car for rally use I wouldn't bother with the Aisans but go with twin Weber DGV 32/36 carbs (Holley G180 and Holley 5200 are similar), rejet them and get an adaptor plate for the manifold and linkages to suit the carbs. Or you could get sidedraught Weber DCOE 40 or Dellorto DHLA 40 carbs, but be prepared to fork out more cash for them and a new manifold (being sidedraughts), linkages and jets.

Cheers, Yves.
