Those are very sobering pictures, especially when you see what relatively little damage was done to the truck. They act as a reminder that no one is invincible.

The words "Aren't you glad you were driving a Toyota" spring to mind. Had that have been a corsa, you'd have been shafted mate!

Just out of interest... how many of the TS's many airbags deployed?? :P

Thats a advert for Toyota there as the driver compartment looks like it stayed in shape before the roof was cut off

Lucky you were in a Toyota mate as i think most of their cars are 4 and 5's in the euro safety rateings

i cant remeber a thing about the accident, as for what happened theres only bin assumptions and no witnesses so id rather not say

Whatever you may drive in this world - you are in a fragile environment but it is whole testimony to certain cars above others when a human can survive such an impact.

**** lee you are one luck mo'fo. it just shows how much development goes into passenger compartment strength. NCAP tests are defo worth it. good luck with the recovery. are the insurers playing ball?
