Been offered one with a boost module for a nice price.

I don't really want the device for any performance gains as such...but more to do with the fuel economy gains I can

get with the car being mapped to UK fuel.

What do people think about them? Or are they just a much about muchness?

Comments welcomed from owners (MR2 Rev1 especially)

I use one in my Roadster and the improvement to the lower end torque is quite good, they recon it can give an extra 20bhp but I haven’t been on a rolling road to find out yet.

As far as economy goes it needs to be run with optimax all the time so the fuel cost is higher but if you drive spiritedly it returns higher mpg than normal unleaded which balances it out really. I take my chip out in winter (putting it back ready for Brunters in 4 weeks  ) and run on unleaded because a heavy right foot is not the best idea on greasy or icy roads.

Cool

So it is possible to get the greater fuel economy I am looking for!
