Hi - I'm new here and sorry if this has already been asked.

I have a v-reg corolla and i'm really struggling to remove the factory fitted stereo. i took off the removable fascia to see if there were any slots down the sides for inserting an extracting tool (if that's whats needed), but there didnt seem to be anything like that.

The stereo is a bog-standard no-frills radio/casette...i can find the model number if that helps.

please - any ideas how to get the stereo out? cheers, Maz.

:help:

Is it the standard stereo that sits on the top of the dash? If so, remove the air vents completely from underneath it and you'll find 4 10mm head bolts holding it to the dash. Remove these, disconnect the multiplugs n pop it out

p.s. Welcome to TOC!

Thanks! The stereo sits just above the air vents just like you said. I'll give it a try.

Cheers again.

You can get the harness adaptor cable from Halfrauds or any car stereo dealer ie Motorworld or places like that matey.
