Most car made after 1992 have a SPD (Speed sensor wire for speedo) I dont know whether you can fit it to another vehical and just press reset tyre coeficient, to learn your new, pulse per mile, Wheel Diameter. But i suspect you can. Infact Tommorrow im going to connect it to a pedle bike with one of those cheap digital speedo's to see if that pulse signal would work. I'll let you know.

going into the fuse box.)

Violet/white = SPD has above

takes a while to find satellites for the first time when its been of the Battery. around an hour. maybe longer/shorter

oh set the time, it stops it searching different time zones

for satellites.

Its late may add more later...........feel free to add something.....

Cheers

brilliant! ill add this to the yaris titbits thread!

one question on the speed pulse. is this plug located behind the little dash screen or the radio itself??

im after the pulse line for my alpine at nav. my dealer told me it was on the instrument cluster on a red/white wire but seems wrong as the speed pulse output doesnt show to be working

sorry dannyb999 dont know!!!

Hi jaxx,

The speed pulse wire on a yaris can be found by locateing the 18P connector on the multi display. turn the 18P connector so the wires face you and the connector's tap is on top.

locate the wire (violet/white) in the third hole from the left on the bottom row.

This is a very good link to find where most speed sencing wires can be found on most cars and vans. hope this helps

Just taken deivery new T3Spirit. Have cruise control DIY kit have moved from old car and wish to fit to Spirit.

Would the speed sensor wire you talk of be suitable to replace the connection from sensor magnet I usually have to fit to the drive shaft.

Have you heard of anyone in the club who has retrofitted a cruise control.

thanks

Mervt
