found i need dot 3 but can i, like it says in the manual, use it in the clutch fluid resiviour? this seems a bit strange to me!

They're both just hydraulic pressure systems with a pedal at one end and actuators at the other. If the manual says that the fluid you have is correct for both, then I'd be inclined to believe it. |

Its been a few years since I needed to buy brake fluid.
However, the last bottle I bought around 5 years ago was actually called "brake and clutch" fluid, so it seems this is quite normal! Andy |

Its been a few years since I needed to buy brake fluid. However, the last bottle I bought around 5 years ago was actually called "brake and clutch" fluid, so it seems this is quite normal! Andy DONT use old fluid whatever you do...its hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the surrounding air). |
