i have got some 15in steel wheels for my 1.8 n reg carina they are 15in with 175 tyres on. is this the correct size for the original wheels and tyres. I have taken off some fox 17in alloys that had 205/40 x17 tyres on (nearly new) but these were to 'boy racer'ish for me and with the real low profile it didn't ride like a 50 yr old wanted it to (i am selling these alloys cheap!!) and also they were well kerbed and need refurbing. so basically have i got the right size on?

The standard size in a 175 tyre was 175/70x14.. not 15".
If you have 15" you should have 195/60x15 (thats what I had on my Carina) |
