Hi all, have finally decided to refurbish my Roadster's alloys rather than get new ones. I would like to keep it as standard as poss.
What I want to know is, can anyone recommend a good company, preferably in South Wales? I know Spit and Polish and Lepsons are good, but they are 300 miles away in Kent! There are a few in the yellow pages, but word of mouth and recommendations are always good! Cheers. |

Got a quote back from Spit n Polish, £58.50 + VAT per wheel plus £40 courier
Found a company in Herts (wheelrefurbishing.com) quoting £180 for all four, but I'm guessing the same sort of courier price. Can ANYBODY tell me if there's a good company a bit further West!!?? |

no idea around your way unfortunately.
There's a place near me that does a great service from £150 for all four. Drop the car off, they take the wheels off, blast and clean the alloys, refurb them, refit tyres and balance wheels, all back on the car and ready to pick up same day ! Excellent service Not much help to you as they are based in Teesside, but it might give you some idea of what's a good price etc. Good luck |

Why do I live so far away from everywhere
I've pretty much decided on wheelreburbishing.com. £140 including VAT for all four (without tyres) courier £38 because they insist on returning them and I've sorted out donor wheels from a mate and a courier for £16 to get them there. Will let you know how they look in the next couple of weeks, recommendations count for a lot. |

just do them yourself mate. i've done loadsa sets my self. its a lot easier than u may think. although u would be spraying them rather than powder coating. but you'll be saving a packet! and the finish is just as good and if you look after them they'll last forever!

My Hubby has done plenty of resprays, but refused to paint the alloys. The whole process is very time consuming and there is no way you'd get the professional finish unless you had the kit. |

Just a quick update for those interested.
Got my alloys back yesterday from BJV Engineering in Hertfordshire (www.wheelreburbishing.com). VERY impressed with the finish, and the whole service. Nice people to deal with considering I live so far away and didn't have any 'in the flesh' examples of their work. From me sending them off to getting them back (with a weekend in between) took 8 days. I had them done in Graphite grey which looks great, would recommend them if anyone wants refurbishing done, I heard about them from MR2ROC but wanted to spread the word here at TOC ![]() |
