I took my Prius T-Spirit to a local tyre dealer to get a wheel alignment/tracking adjustment done. But they told me that they were unable to do it as the data is not in the Autodata 2007 book which they showed me.

Does anyone know where I can take the car to get it done or perhaps where can I find the data to give it to the tyre dealer?

Personally if the tyre fitter did not have the proper setting for the Prius, bearing in mind the Prius has been out for a few years now, I would go somewhere else. I have had 4 wheel tracking done on my T-spirit and it is great. Previously it seemed the steering was not centred properly and now it is spot on. Here is a link that perhaps might help you http://www.grahamstyres.co.uk/

Good luck

I manage to locate the settings from the US forum when somebody posted them on after he has had the tracking done - see post #5:

Do these settings apply to the UK models as well or just for the US?

I would say the settings arent the same in UK & USA. As they drive on the other side of the road and drive LHD the camber settings could well be different for them.
If i remember tomorrow i will get the specs for Prius and post them up.

Looking at the specs there doesn't seem to be any bias one way or the other on the alignment, so it would seem neutral as to L/H or R/H drive, I suppose if the US roads tend to have less of a crown (as they are generally wider) then the camber setting could be different (but still equal both sides)

I have noticed on the US forum that alignment seems a popular topic, mostly with newly delivered vehicles (apparently it's how they strap them down on the boat fron Japan that causes problems?) does anyone know if the Prius is easily knocked out of kilter regarding alignment or is it just the Japanese that are a bit heavy handed whilst importing them?

Can anyone recommend a good computerised alignment centre in S/W London (where they actually care/know what they're doing) so I can get mine checked?

Regards to you all.

I've found a great place to get your tracking checked (can I point out that I have no vested interests here!) There is a chap in Chesham (NW london outskirts) who has one of the very few Hunter high end digital tracking alignment systems in the country, which checks some 16 different angles of the chassis geometry. I took my NHW20 Prius for a full alignment check/diagnostic today and they corrected both front cambers and centered the steering wheel (the R/H toe in was incorrect) for probably only double what a Fast-Fit centre would charge a front wheel "alignment". I've given him the full data sheet for the NHW20 Prius alignment (although his fancy computer system had it already).
These guys have a passion for all things suspension/alignment, they have a brand new facility with a big plasma screen/coffee etc while you wait.
They also supply/fit tyres and have price matched the best deal I've found on the Bridgstone ER30 so I'll be back there soon to try out the most impressive wheel balancing machine I have ever seen!

The name of the outfit is "Wheels-in-motion" run by a chap named Tony (nice guy). I'm sure you'll find it using Google, take a look at the forum for some eye-openers to the world of alignment.

Sorry if this sounds like an advert but I was so impressed with the place I thought you all should have a chance to visit should you require superior alignment services for less than a dealer would charge.

Regards to you all.
