hi there just got my celica 190 tonight and obviously the alloys are absolutely sh*gg*d!! Could you please tell me the tech specs of the alloy fitment i.e. offset etc. and what would be the best tyre to maintain the same speedo readings etc for a set of 17's. i was thinking 215/45/17 as they will fill the arches better and avoid the jacked up look rather than 40's or 35's. I found some rule of thumb on the net for alloys but cant find it again :s, any help appreciated

On 17" rims the OE size Tyre is 205/45/17. 215/45 will offer slightly more Rim protection at the expense of a slightly slower 0-60. The correct Offset for a Gen 7 on 17's is 38 but 35 will be acceptable.

Hy for the offset you can calculate online http://www.gtsparkplugs.com/WheelOffsetCalc.html that`s the best way.... biggrin.gif

And for tyre too http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html ... biggrin.gif

I bought 8x17" et35 for mine and i`m planing to buy 215/40/17 tyres, the best vill be if i find 225/40/17 but it` tooo rarely... unsure.gif

hope it will help
