Just bought my June 05' Celica 140 and the alloys are badly corroded. I used to have an MX5 Euphonic with the same problem and Mazda just paid for a brand new set under warranty, I was just wondering what Toyota are like and if anyone has had to change thier wheels under warranty? You probably noticed my car is one month over 3 years old but the corrosion has obviously been there ages although would this not come under the corrosion warranty? For what its worth the car has done 52k with full Toyota history

From what I remember people saying on here, is that as long as you have a full service history, they'll change them under warranty.
The easiest thing, is to contact Toyota and see what they say. |

You should have reported the corrosion before the car was 3 years old. It is a 3 year warranty, not 3 years 1 month. The only way forward now is to contact your dealer to do an out of warranty authorisation, and see if Toyota will pay. You may struggle as this cannot be claimed under the anti corrosion warranty as that is for bodywork only. Corrosion on the wheels is cosmetic and not a detriment to the car, so it is in the lap of the gods if they pay or not.
If anybody has a fault on their car and the end of warranty is looming up, go get it sorted straight away, you are not making it easy on yourself by delaying Kingo |

I agree with Kingo in this matter, we should know our own cars and we should spot a problem as and when it crops up
Give Mr Toyota a try via your local dealer and you may just be happy with the outcome.... my wife used to have a Nissan X-Trail and the wheels on her car were badly corroded and this was taken up by Nissan 1 month out of the warranty period, yes she does not look at her car Good luck |
