had my first drive of the gen3 prius on monday evening and loved it so much it has converted me from my 2.0 d4d tr avensis (57 plate), infact it was so good that on tuesday morning when i took the car back to the dealer i ordered one there and then.
i have decided to go for the T-SPIRIT in tyrol silver, but i have also added the JUST released to the public new LED PACK.
this consists of :- led headlamps, headlamp wash, dusk sensing lamps, electrochromatic rear view mirror and specially coated front glass to make it rain repellent!!
and all for £895.00
the only problem now is that due to adding the led pack i have to wait for the factory order period which is 11 weeks, that means i wont see my car till mid october but i feel it is worth the wait for such a gorgeous car.

has anyone else just ordered and if so how long is your delivery period.

I had a test drive also on Monday morning and fell in love with it, ordered it there and then, it is a Sprit in black, was told it would be with us about the 4th sept.

you really are lucky to get it so quick, i am now starting to wonder if ordering the led pack was such a good idea after all.
who knows maybe it arrive earlier, heres hoping!!!

My order for a TSpirit with the solar moonroof option has been agreed by the chappies at work (it's bought on contract hire with work fronting up abouut 70% of the cost. Option to buy outright after 3 years). No Road Tax, no Congestion Charge and low benefit-in-kind taxation were ultimate deciders. Plus all costs being included in a monthly payment, apart from petrol. Servicing, tyres, Euro Breakdown cover, blah, blah, blah.

Protection pack added, nothing else. There's a lot of song and dance being made about the LED lights, but I'm d*mn*d if I know why. They don't do it for me. Nor do the few bits of metallised plastic which constitute the so-called Style Pack.

The only thing that I'd like to see as standard is a USB interface to the music hard drive and with the ability to copy MP3's directly over without having to dig the original CD's out of a box in the attic and rip them all over again. But I've moaned about that before on another thread, so I'll quit there.

Delivery forecast of 4 months, order confirmed on Aug 18th. Delivery forecast on December 18th.

I ordered a black Tspirit on 7th August. The dealer gave me a choice of two, red or black, which he had on order with an expected delivery today 20th August. However they were still on the ship so he couldn't confirm delivery until the ship docked.

It docked in Bristol last Friday and the car was delivered (hopefully) to the dealer today.

I'm taking delivery on the 21st ........ Hey thats tomorrow!!! Just 15 hours to go.!!!!

I have ordered the same colour and spec. Unfortunately it is a factory fit option. Some options can be fitted in this country but the led pack cant, hence the long delay but I think it will be worth it when it is delivered. My delivery is October 14.

Just had the dealer phone, we pick ours up on the 15th sept.......4:00.

I ordered on the Friday (14th). Originally had a delivery time of 2 weeks, then by the 4th & now its been put back again to around the 11th.

Mine was also a Black Tspirit.

Never had so much trouble getting a new (company) car.

Hi. hope they do not change the delivery date, just had to change the insurance for the second time, it runs out on the car we have now on the 16th....................

I've just seen this thread and its got me worried as all your delivery times don't seem too bad; I have had a white T4 ordered from Pinkstones Stoke-on-Trent since 26/6/09 and they still say they're unable to give me a delivery date but hopefully end Sept to mid Oct - this is loads longer than all you guys but I note you're all T Spirits - was the first ship load all T Spirits or am I being taken for a ride here?

Maybe its down to what the dealer pre-ordered from Toyota. When I ordered my Tspirit I was advised that the dealer had two available on the next shipload and as I was happy to take one of the available colours, I got it in less than two weeks.

They also have a white model in the showroom for immediete delivery. I think this came on the same shipment, so I guess this must be a t3 or t4..

I think you are right. I visited the dealer on a Saturday. They were talking December delivery for new orders but had a single vehicle in stock that met my spec exactly and I was able to collect it the following Wednesday (September 2nd).

but mine isn't a new order - it's a very OLD order! all seems a bit fishy to me, only other paranoid suspicion I have is that Toyota are favouring dealers near to a certain congestion zone??! is it worth me contacting anyone at Toyota GB - anyone have any good contacts?

Ask your dealer if they have an internal order number. If they do then your car is ordered with Toyota GB. Then you can ring Toyota Customer Service and ask them to check up for you. But they can't do this without your order number.

Other trick is to ring other dealers in your area and ask about availability. But you ordered in June, I agree you should have had your car by now, last week really at the latest.

Certainly Toyota GB expected over 50% of cars ordered to be T Spirits. However there are some owners with T3's and T4's.

All dealers were given quotas. This was to stop the bigger dealers ordering and selling all the available cars in a few areas.

I just hope they keep me informed if it has all gone wrong, I have heard nothing to say it has, so when I get there a week next Tuesday I expect it to be there all shiny and lovely.

just found out last week that my car is now on status "at sea" and that my original eta date has moved forward from october 20th to october 7th making it early by nearly 2 weeks this is REALLY good news as my current car runs out of tax at the end of this month!!.
so i am hoping that the wish expressed by the dealer that he hopes it comes by the end of the month so it goes into this months figures comes true, especially as i also have to arrange the transfer of my private plate as well.
anyone with one knows how much of a pain this can be when changing vehicles, i took my current car on a standard plate while my private transfer came through.

hope I am not jumping the gun, just made a MP3 CD to go in the new Spirit which we were told, a couple weeks ago, we pick up at 4:00 Tuesday.

well, we have just got home with our new Prius spirit. all seems great, but I think I need to have a read of the books that came with it.

sat in Tesco's car park while the better half done the shopping and spent all the time trying to get the CD playing without having the engine running. should have read the book first.

I specified my company car red T-Spirit with solar roof and leather on the 24th June. The car was ordered the following week and the estimated delivery (which is still the same) is the 24th of November. What a great service NOT

Because it has to be factory built, the excuse is a massive order from China, which is being fulfilled first.

I just ordered a T3 - but the dealer did say Tspirts are about 3 months - t3/t4 1-2 weeks in popular colurs like silver/grey

we went into the showroom on the 17th August, and picked up our Black Spirit on the 15th sept., so a bit less than one month...

Our Nexus Grey T3 arrived on Thursday after about 5 weeks. As an added bonus it came with the parking sensors which is just as well as it is not easy to park. Don't know why they're on there though as we didn't order the protection pack and it doesn't have the boot liner that comes with the protection pack. Now we need to try to get our dealer to disable the reversing beep as it nearly drowns out the beep from the sensors...

From ordering to collection, our white T-spirit (with protection pack) took 3 weeks to deliver. (Collected it Thursday)

I'd find out what's in stock, and ask whether you're prepared to wait several months for one that's different.

Dealers I've spoken to don't recommend the solar roof.

I chop and change my cars like no tomorrow, so couldn't justify the heft whack for leather, but if I knew I was keeping the car a long time I think I'd go for it.

Maybe it's because they would have to wait for their nice commission.

ordered a black t spirit was told mid jan may be lucky if it docks in dec 09 ??

ps anyone heard there had been a price increase on the TS ? my dealer mentioned this

VAT returns to 17.5% on 1st Jan.

I can go better than that, was talking to a salesman today and he told the price is going up across the whole prius range as follows:

T3 £700
T4 £700
T-spirit £900
the increase is due towards the end of october, and i understand they are not holding the prices on unordered units
then as t4 says the vat goes back up on jan 1st!!!

Yep, my Prius T-Spirit is scheduled for delivery end of December 09. Dealer said there are two shipments due: one in December and another at the end of January 2010.

I noted another reply to this post stating the prices are going up in October. The answer is 'yes' by 900 pounds for all three models judging by the letter I was given by the Toyota dealer.

As nothing would suprise me right now, is this price applied to cars already ordered... or on cars ordered after the price increase?

May sound like an odd question, but if you were in my shoes, you'd understand

So the price increase came in on 25th September, but only applies to cars to be delivered after 26th October. I purchased my Prius on the day of the price increases, but luckily the sales guy let me off the £900.00.

I had a phone call from LTSBAutolease this week to let me know that my company TS with solar roof has just been pushed back 4 weeks, from Dec 15th to Jan 11th at the dealers.
I've already signed the contract and agreed the 'extra' price that I'll pay monthly for the TS, so I'm not affected by the change in price.
