Hiya. I'm a new member and I'd like to say hello to everybody! I've got a toyota prius gen1 MY98 imported from Japan. The problem is when I start to accelerate the yellow turtle light comes on on the dash if I take my foot off the accelerator pedal the yellow turtle disappears, If I'd continue to accelerate the red car with an exclamation mark in the centre and warning triangle light comes on just next to the speedometer, car starts to slow down and it won't go faster then 8-10 mil/h. Has anyone had that problem before or maybe anyone knows what the problem is? Does anyone know any garage repairing hybrids in Lanarkshire? I'd be very greatfull for any advice.

faults with the prius then you go to toyota no one else has a clue how they work.

I agree. Only a Toyota dealer can sort your problem out. Do not trust any other garage they will mess your Prius up.

Do you think will toyota be able to connect computer to my prius and find out where the problem is? I red somewhere that there's a problem to connect computer to a prius made before 2000 and imported from Japan. Can anybody confirm that? If so is there any other chance to diagnose the problem? Ring your nearest Toyota dealer and ask them. I have never heard that Toyota dealers cannot diagnose imported Prius cars.
If they cannot diagnose it ring Toyota UK for help.

this is poop i work as a tec at toyota and have diagnosed many faults on import cars using our computers.any toyota dealer should be able to help you out matey.
