Hi Guys,

I'm hoping someone can help me here, I've lost my one and only key to my 2000 mr-s. My parents said I shouldn't drink too much on my birthday. Have been to local Toyota dealer today (replacement keys available from V.I.N. No's on UK vehicles but not Jap imports) and they are quoting £1500 - £2000 as they say ECU needs replacing. I've posted rewards in pubs and intend emailing toyota in Japan.
Has anyone resolved similar problem. Suggestions other than don't take your car keys to the pub would be greatly appreciated.

Either that, or find a written off / breaking one and get parts from that. If all that fails, Toyota for a wallet raping it is!
