I've just had a look at the Autotrader website, there are currently 21 used Prius gen 3 cars already advertised for sale. Cheapest is an 09 T4 with 2000 miles at £18450, going up to an 09 T Spirit with 2500 miles, for a rather optimistic £24,500. All are with Toyota dealers except for one private sale. There's a choice of colours, and some are even on 59 plates too.

Click the link, search for Toyota Prius and enter "up to 1 year old" in the options, then go to the LAST page and work backwards, and you'll find them all there.

Mostly ex-demonstrators i think

With the exception of one private speculator who has bought one expecting to make a quick profit from it (well, money in the bank doesn't earn much now), they will all be dealer demonstrators. But considering some of them are even on 59 plates, they can't have done very much demonstrating. Plus, if they sell them, the dealers presumably must know they are going to have no problem replacing the car immediately with another demonstrator. So if these 20 demonstrators sell, 20 customers who have paid deposits and are awaiting delivery are going to be told "Sorry Mr Punter, there's been a delay with the delivery of your car, we hope it'll be here in another 2 or 3 weeks".

The gen 3 Prius has been a huge USA hit, where 18,886 were sold in August, the Honda Insight
had sales of just 4226. The new Insight has not proved to be the threat that Toyota feared it would over there, so as of October 18th, the price of a Prius goes up by $400!

I noticed 1 dealer was running their demonstrator around on trade plates. How else do you explain 59 plate cars with over 4,000 miles on the clock?
