I was in Bath yesterday and saw this Prius Taxi

I spoke to the driver, said that I owned a Prius but had never before seen one used as a Taxi.

He said it was the first one in Bath and that it worked well as a Taxi.

I'm pretty sure there are a couple of Prius taxi owners/drivers on this site, but this was my first sight of one.

There are quite a few around the country and slowly increasing in numbers. My new Gen III arrived two days ago and was licenced and plated up yesterday to be used as a Taxi (well private hire but pretty much the same) in my town in North Yorkshire. Just arranging for the meter and despatch computer to be fitted and then away I go. Am hoping the 55mpg round town will help pay for the cab in savings from the 25mpg I get at the moment. From speaking to a number of my colleagues it turns out a fair few have considered a Prius but nobody wanted to be the first!

Will post pictures once all up and running. Oh and if you're ever in North Yorks and I pick you up say "hi"
