Full Version: 8 Spoke Wheels

Although not strictly a Toyota related matter (Although they might look good on a 70's Celica) I am asking on this forum (along with other avenues of enquiry) as to anybody who might know if anyone still produces Chrome Steel 8 Spoke wheels around the 14inch size. These wheels I believe were produced by 'Weller Wheel's' in the late 70's and 80's. Along with the 'Chrome 8 Spoke' they did 'White 8 Spoke'. I have contacted Weller wheels and these days they just do motorsport only wheels.
The wheels were very popular with certain vehicles such as Ford Capris and Minis (they did a 10inch size for Minis). I know for 4X4's some firm produces them but there seems nothing for cars. They will be for a 'retro' custom project.

Thanks for any help

I was after a set of these about 8 years ago (for RA28 celica) and couldn't find them then. I did get quite a good response from a wanted in local paper but they all turned out to be too narrow, wrong offset, etc.. You could try a wanted add on Ebay these days.
The Wellers used to be much cheaper than alloys too. They were always popular on the stock car scene, usually ford, but also the Starlet. You might be lucky enough to get a set of Appliance chromes from somewhere. They were popular on the custom scene in 70's, 80's, but only with 4 or 5 spokes depending on no. of studs.
I ended up ordering a new set of Revolution 5 spokes from Demon Tweeks. The old dished 5 spoke design, not the FWD style. They were drilled to suit and took about 6 weeks to arrive. Look the business on my RA28; black, silver or anthracite centres with polished rims. Choice of offsets too.
Otherwise I'm no help! Sorry! Good luck with search.
