99' Toyota RAV 4 - My ECT button stopped lighting up when I push it in. I am assuming it is not working, and the fuse is blown. Can anyone help me find the fuse for it? I checked in the console neart he dr side door, and non were blown. Is there one somewhere else?

Could just be the bulb in the switch... you must be able to tell if the gearbox is in ECO or Power mode when driving, one position of the switch make the engine revs higher and the other position feels more sedate smile.gif .

I tried it hauling a small trailer today and didn't notice any difference in the shifting with the button on or off.

Not expecting to be looking to buy another Rav4 , as i now am, when i sold the last Rav4 i had in 1998, i had a full set of Toyota workshop manuals which i gave to the guy as part of the sale , now 6 years on,i wish i'd kept them so i could answer question like yours sad.gif .
All i can suggest is check your owners handbook for a fuse that may be for "gearbox or transmission".
Another suggestion ( if your a bit of a home mechanic ) is to check if you have a 12v feed to the switch ,then see if you also have a feed on both sides of the switch when pressed,
good luck smile.gif .

OK just done a bit of homework, as a general rule with toyota automatic gearbox vehicles, they can have up to 3 fuses fitted, first is a "blade " fuse, this could be under the steering wheel area or under the bonnet ( hood ), also under the bonnet is two larger fuses, could be marked up as MAIN FL, ALT, AM1 or AM2, last note...the overdrive ( button on gearlever ) will only work once the engine reaches 55ºC , hope that's some help, if not, its a trip to your toyota main dealer crybaby.gif

Keith.

Most Toyota head units dont need a code, so not sure what you are asking.
