Hi !
I have a landcruser pick up -99.
And I have a problem with my front axel.
One of the wheels have more play then the other .
How do i adjust it ??
Removing the freewheelhub and then ??
Is there a nut to tighten ther ore what ??
please need help....
sandgroper
What kind of landcruiser is it?
This from the manual for a 7# series.
"a tighten the bearing nut to 59Nm,rotate the hub 3 times in each direction and loosen the hub nut until the nut can be turned by hand.
b repeat operation a (thats what it says)
c install a spring gauge to the wheel stud and the effort reuired should be 27-56Nm,if its not repeat"

I wouldnt worry about the spring gauge as long as you cant hear the bearing dragging and there is no play in the wheel .
Usually you would pull the whole bearing out and repack with grease it,its a 100000 job along with the inner seals

Thank you !!
But I still have the problem of getting in to where the nut is.
I cant get the 6 small M8 bolts off.
On the back side of the wishers there are cone wishers an thay are stuck in the hole.
Is there any good way to get them out ??
:crybaby:

This sounds like the same set up on my 4 runner.
When I replaced the wheel bearings on that, I removed the 4 domed headed nuts then screwed two bolts bolts into the tapped holes in the plate to jack the plate off part way (say 5mm). I then unscrewed the two bolts and tapped the plate back into place. This loosened the conical washers so that they could be pulled off using long nosed pliers. You then have access to the nut, tab washer, and locking nut that hold the hub in place. I think I have got some photos of the operation somewhere.
