Don't do it.......the Caldina variant of the 3sgte isn't as easy to mod as the MR2/GT-4 versions. Basicly you've just got to be careful how you mod them. They have the stongest blocks of all the 3S-GTEs, the best fuel injection, ignition and turbo, but are more detonation prone due to the higher compression. Fit an aftermarket ECU or change the pistons and they're as strong as any 3S-GTE, or run them on 98 in stock configuration and they'll last as well as any other.

If it's going in a MR2 then I'd look for a MR2 or GT-4 variant
