do you have any idea on what size gauge wire i should use .... from my HU ot the + on the battery and if so where to buy it from

I didn't bother, just use the STD loom for the headunit.

Then use the largest guage for any amps (check the hole/mount size).

thign is my loom is buggered and dont work so wires must gone brittle and snapped somwhere so i will just rip it all out

if you look at the size of the stock wires, they don't need to be that big.

what would you recommend also what sort of size amp should i be looking at for the wire to the battery

dont need anything over the top mate, just a length of decent multi core wire, halfords do roles of wire for about 3 quid, rated at 8 amps, more than enough to do the entire system
