hi all,
can anyone tell me does a 3" lift kit put pressure on the prop shaft as the incline increases and extends the shaft more than normal, obviously watching the grease level will be important.
i have noticed also that having the rear leafs on blocks has meant the handbrake cable goes under rather than over the spring causing it to touch the spring and not pull properly, can anyone advise on similiar experiences

Dont quote me on this but i wouldn't have thought that a 3" lift would hurt your prop shaft (im taking it you have a pick up and not a Surf)

If you are talking about a suspension lift, the thing that you need to watch are the front drive shaft angles, so you may need to fit freewheeling hubs to stop any strain on the CV joints.

I aways thought pick ups were a solid front axle with no IFS

With a 3" lift you may find the UJ's wear quicker as they are working at a slightly more angle but a 3" lift is going to look the dogs do dars.
May also be worth checking the brake hoses wont be over stretched but even if they are longer ones should be easyily obtained from the place you are getting the lift kit from and again fairly easy to fit brake hoses.

Quoted from the Roughtrax parts list: CV Joint Outer IFS
New Outer CV joint IFS only 8/1991 on. Comes with outer boot and clips. L/H and R/H are the same.
