Full Version: Hks Coilovers!
Toyota Owners Club - Toyota Forum > For Sale > For Sale

Okay, the time has come to try and sell my coilovers.

Good bits
All (apart from one) shock absorbers are fine as are the springs. This kit lowers from standard ride height to about -80mm.

Bad bit
If you're looking from the back of the car, the rear shock absorber on the LHS is burst and cannot be repaired (apparently).

These would be ideal for any T-Sport owner as they would need new rear shocks anyway!

Gimme some (sensible) offers! thumbsup.gif

How much do these retail for?
Also, roughly how much would fitting cost?
Ryan1985
Retail is apparently around the £1000 mark. Fitting should be about £80-£140, it depends where you live really. Remember you'd need new rear shocks. thumbsup.gif
Ryan1985
Bump, you can get these from me at JAE so no delivery costs or need to collect! thumbsup.gif
viperroom_112

Ryan1985
I'm not sure, you can't get the same shocks anymore but you can get other HKS rear shocks or you could just get some Koni rear shocks. smile.gif

Give me a PM if you want them mate, I might let them go cheap just to get rid! thumbsup.gif
Woody27

Surely shock absorbers and dampers are the same thing?

Matty, I'll update it when I can be bothered! thumbsup.gif

Nope, the dampers are the fluid filler parts which damp out the oscilation motion of the suspension system which is caused by the springs and the mass of the car reacting to an external input, i.e a bump in the road.

Shock absorbers is a common name given to the suspension components, usually the spring and damper unit together, but technically a shock absorber could be anything, including the foam padding on your seat as they absorb shocks that would be passed from the car to you.

sorry to be so anal about it but its just one of those things that gets drilled into you.

Brad =)

No worries. I think we all knew what I was on about anyway! thumbsup.gif
