I have two small external USB drives, they are both 6GB and are about the size of a packet of cigs.

Use them for Music, Films, Files, Games etc. I download movies off the internet and copy them to this (i can fit about 8 full DVD's onto one of these) and then connect this into my DVD player in the living room to watch em

They connect straight into your USB and require no external power, thats right they run completely off the usb voltage.
