hi i,m looking at an 03 reg land cruiser d4d manual 5 door with 80,000 miles on.
it looks like its had a hard life so far with plenty of body wear and tear but it drives smooth and straight with no obvious problems.
my question is will i have to worry about expensive problems in the near future or do you think it'll be worth the risk?

As far as I can make out you have to look for three things....

Service history
Service history and
Service history

So long as this has been completed correctly then the engine is very reliable.

Look for all the service history

They should be run-in at about 200k miles.
