Ive recently purchased a 202 GT with some TSW 17 inch alloys with Yokokahama Parada Spec 2 215/40Z/R17 tyres on them, ive searched the net high and low and cant find any clue as to what the tyre pressures should be

Can anyone help me out with what the tyre pressures should be? or point me in the right direction?

Thanks
Martin

Look in the glove box or on the side on the pillar when u open drivers door for pressure guide. wheel size and tyre pressure dont change from stock spec when you change size , its car specific , if your unsure go for 30-32 psi all round

Hi there, If you want optimum tyre pressures then you should not go by the standard information for the car. Changing wheelsize and tyre type will almost always affect the required optimum pressure, especially with high performance tyres that will have differing sidewall stiffnesses and belt constructions.

Yokohama should be able to tell you the correct pressure for the tyre for a specific wheel size and car weight. If you are also looking to do any track-days then they should supply you with an optimum tyre temperature which will be controlled by the tyre pressure in-part.

sorry that this is more complicated than the information you were given but the standard setup could wear your tyres out a lot faster than they should be and provide you less grip for those roundabouts!!
