I want to get a new Toyota Hilux, the double cab 3.0 litre version. I'm located in Malta. There are several versions here and wondered if anyone is informed about the Hilux series. The sole agent has the Toyota Hilux 3.0D, but other dealers have the Toyota Hilux G. Does anyone know what the difference is, as I tried to look up the G series on the net and came up with nothing. Could the 'D' series be marketed for Europe and the 'G' series for other continents?

Would appreciate all info I can get so I can go ahead with buying.

Thanks

There is a G designation, There is 3.0G which is Marketed as a VIGO, which is a Hilux and by the looks of it has a 4 Speed Auto box not a Manual Box. it the same straight 6 24 valve 29XXcc engine. in the Diesel the is the 3.0D naturally aspirated and the KZ-TE which has a factory fitted turbo
