i just purchased a 1992 jap import its a 2.2 td and noticed when driving down the motorway at about 70mph the temp guage went right into the red but when i stopped it went down within 10-15 mins. any ideas on what the prob is as im hoping its nothing to do with the head gasket! any help would be appreciated thnx

hi mate, better get this checked it sooner rather than later, it sounds serious, and gasket is common fault, i heard.
