Hi all, has anyone swapped a corona engine out for something bigger ,just thinking out loud as my timing chain has gone and maybe easier to swap out.also are these engines 18r type common to other toyotas
any help offered please

What year of corona is yours and whats the current engine code ? the 18R if fitted is a 4star fuel engine only so not the best choice, interchangeability with old Toyota engines is down to engine code so it can still mate to the gearbox.

Hi thanks for the reply, I thought the code was 18r but if not I will check again , I was thinking of maye swapping engine and box if possible .any ideas welcome
