which oil do you recommend for a 2001 1.9 tdi pd passat . as your site is a tad confusing as my car was on the change over year .

Do you know if it is on the fixed or variable (longlife) service schedule?

i tend to do it every 6k miles. cheers

On a regular basis, upto every 10,000 miles I would go with one that meets the VW505.01 spec and these are 5w-40.
