If you really want to get it looking amazing get yourself a Power Polisher as this will save you time a Meguiars G220, Ultimate Detailing Machine or Portercable 7424. This is the best car care investment I have ever made. Every one who buys there first car should get one of these
With regards to getting a wet look.
See the How to guides on Autopia http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?autop...u4u+index.html+ they can advise you on some great ways to get a wet look.
Clay the car, to remove any surface contamination.
I then would use a Swirl removing polish if this is needed.
Treat with Carlack 68 or Klasse all in one.
2 coats of Carlack Sealant or Klasse Sealant Glaze. Put on 24hours apart. (Acrylic Sealant) Two coats really makes a big difference and if you can do 3 or more it can look amazing some US car show enthusiasts will apply 10 or more coats
Then finally after a few days to allow the Acrylic to really cure clean the car and apply P21S wax.
This will make it look "dripping wet".
For the interior use 303 Aerospace protectant once you have cleaned the plastics with a bit of warm water. If you have leather use the Autoglym products to clean and restore it, with fabric Autoglym interior fabric cleaner is good.
I did some threads on the MBClub forum and have just done the same on our new Toyota IQ
