I took my Toyota Carina into the Worcester Main Toyota garage to have a seal replaced and system re-gassed on my air conditioning- this was done on 15/06/09 on 20/06/09 the system started running hot again so on the 21/06/09 I went back to the garage to have it put right The place was completely closed down no cars no staff, nothing I was given a service number to call by the adjacent garage I called them- I was put on a very long list to be dealt with some time in the distant future as a lot of local Toyota dealers in this area have closed on the same day with no notice at all.
So beware car buyers one could have bought a new car on 15/06/09 and on the 18/06/09 where you bought it no longer was there
I believe I will just have to lose the cost of my job £100 and put it down to one of lifes little tricks :-)

I bought my diesel Corolla from them a couple of years ago and had a letter this week from Toyota telling me they had closed and suggesting that I use a dealer in Bromsgrove instead. That doesn't worry me as I'm in Cardiff anyway and use the dealer in Newport. If you need someone to take a look at your car I can recommend Kevin Clarkson in Droitwich who is an independant Toyota specialist his number is 01905 778368. He did the supercharged engine transplant in my 1998 Corolla SR. Tell him John Payne recommended you - I might get some discount the next time go there.

Hi Bluebelt- can I suggest contacting Toyota customer Service. I had been a customer of Brooklyn Toyota in Gloucester having purchased my car and service plan from them in September 2008 however when speaking to the company administraters found them rude and unhelpful- the same can not be said for Toyota Customer service who were friendly helpful and i've just received vouchers honouring my service plan. BIG THUMBS UP AND THANK U :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hi fidji_uk
Thanks for your reply I have been in touch with Toyota customer service and as you said they were very helpful- I have sent them a copy of my bill and that has the chassis number on it which they asked for- I will see how I get on now. regards Jim

Sadly this a sign of the times - at least Toyota customer services are being helpful - but i think its only right and proper that they should - because their customers - the people who drive Toyota cars in the areas covered by the dealers - are being affected by the closures - and if Toyota didn't handle things well - then they could lose a lot of business with Toyota owners in the areas that were covered by the dealers that were closed down.

afterall its very easy for someone to turn around and say - im going to get a ford next time (for example) if Toyota didn't look after them well.
