hi there!

the creaking noise when reversing or braking in my 4.1 turned out to be a broken front spring!

im sure i read somewhere this was a recall issue?

does anyone have any info? i have another 2 x 4.1 s is it likely to happen to them too?

or is it like a general wear and tear thing?

thanks

you can check previous posts or easier ask your local toyota dealer...it affects the 1996/7 vintage from memory. And at that age they start to break anyway - don't make things the way they used to so broken front springs is a common fault on a few cars nowadays.

Seem to remember its still a warranty item, despite the vehicles age, get back to your main dealer and see what they say :)
