Any Common Problems With Celica?

hi there, i currently have a toyota corolla e12 1.4 and i am looking to get a TOYOTA CELICA 1.8 VVTI 140BHP Model.

i just want to know if there are any common problems/faults.

drinking oil, about 1.5L per 1000 miles after about 50K hence alot of engines run dry of oil and cost £££! only seems to affect some cars before the face lift including mine!. Slipping Aux belt. origional alloy wheels prone to bubbling of paint, break disks can corrode quite easily. thats about all i can think of at the moment! apart from that all good really!

Have a search on any of the above problems and im sure you will get lots posts.

140 can have problems with oil leaks and the problem with oil consuption,also some tend to have problems with boot struts so go with one that has a spoiler(stronger struts). also sqealing brakes can be a problem but other than that more or less bullet proof.
