Apologies for spelling Beaurocrats wrong - However im beginning to wonder if we need to get rid of them - in order to get things right again (the economy for instance). For example in farming margins are very very tight - and grant payments here in Ireland for environment schemes to farmers (the rural eviromental protection scheme 4) and other schemes which are costing something like 350 million euros per year are being prosposed for cuts - according to an bord snip nua (the crowd the Irish government got in to look at ways of reducing spending for the Irish state) - however this industry is worth 8 billion euros to the economy in Ireland. But with times being hard now they are willing to put the beef industry which is worth 4 billion euros to the Irish economy at risk for 350 million euros in savings.

The Beaurocrats have proposed various areas including health and education for spending cuts - but they are unable to come up with ways of actually bringing more money back into the system by creating jobs - getting the banks lending again and other positive measures. Its all cuts, cuts and more cuts - because thats the only way they know how (here in Ireland at least).

My main problem with them is that they really don't care about the consequences of their actions - and they don't listen to concerns raised about the proposals theyve bought in and implemented - for instance in Rural Ireland a & e departments are being closed at night - so if i have an accident at night in the middle of rural Ireland - i could end up having to be transported 50 or 60 miles (and more) to an A & E dept (im lucky in that im in a big town thats over 60 miles away from a big city - and has a fully functioning A & E dept - but many people in rural Ireland are not so lucky - and it will cost lives - and in fact already has done so.

Big post And Rant quite justified & thoroughly agreed with

From a personal point of view, I'm lucky in being within 10 miles of the nearest major Hospital.

I attended a Clinic in my usual Hospital last month. They were totally satisfied with me, & told me that there was no need to return unless I ran into trouble. :D Then she added that the problem would be that it would be 3 months before I got an appointment because of the cutbacks, etc.

The Government are hitting the weakest, poorest & most vulnerable members of society, instead of the Mega rich who caused the Banking crisis & subsequent bailout. Government, Developers & Bankers are all in the same clique, Golf Clubs etc.

Come the Revolution & it can't come quickly enough. They [An Bord Snip] recommend the closing of 1/2 the Garda [Police] Stations in our Country, where the Gangs are running riot, a murder every day & drugs are rampant.
