Hope your sitting down, as they are just over £300 each, plus the tyre.

Dayum. I best get out my jack, some concrete blocks, and find myself an SR180..

I was looking on eBay last nite, and the Lexus alloys seem similar.. All beit a bit slimmer..

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-is-200-17-Allo...93%3A1|294%3A50

They seem to go for around £400 or so used...

There's also these:

Which look more like the SR180 alloys.

As I, along with some others on the forum only need one wheel, purely as a back up spare for long runs, a solution might be for myself and three others to sort out a similar style from somewhere like Rochford Tyres, order four with tyres, and providing the studs and offset are correct, then no problem.

Meet up, at Rochfords in Essex, pay for them, take one each, off to the pub for a social and then home?

Whilst I know only too well that replica alloys are softer and can be more prone to buckling if you hit a pot hole, they are lots, lots cheaper, and will only be used as an emergency spare to get us home.

Would probably work out around £125 each depending on the tyres specified, which is a lot different to over £400 each from Toyota, for something that you hope never to have to use.

Any thoughts???

Must be a few crashed SR180'S by now, maybe get a spare wheel from a scrapyard, tho I very much susspect they would only sell all 4 <_<

If anyone sees or knows of a crashed one in a scrappy, then please let me know as I would want one wheel straight away, SR180 or Lexus.

Also knowing scrappies, they will not be cheap.

Why oh why, will Toyota not read this and offer a spare to existing SR180 owners at realistic money, for after all we have supported them during this recession with the purchase of the car?

Had a puncture on my poorman's SR (1.6 petrol) over the weekend. All my previous cars have had full spares, including a full alloy spare on my Corolla SR, but didn't realise how poor the spacesaver was til I drove the 4 or 5 miles to the garage yesterday morning. I was lucky to be close to home, but wouldn't want to go any distance at all on the spacesaver.

yep i have still to find the needle and thread to stich your tyre back together so you can use the tyre foam and comppressor combo in the event of a blowout

Can you please confirm that you have tried it on both front and back wheels.

As recently in another thread there was mention of a spacesaver that only fitted the front wheels of the SR 180's.

Thanks in advance.
