Turbo

Hi, is there anybody out there that knows a place where to get turbo for a 4cyl(3SFE) 2.0L engine. I heard about jdm engines that have turbo on them that you can swap with your old non turbo engine in the 1990 camry. But i would like to know if someone knows where you can buy just the turbo and also does anybody know where to get carbon fiber hood for the 1990 camry. thanks.

you should be able to fit a CT26 on that engine...

Here in Denmark anyways it's a fairly used modification to the 3SFE-engine on Carina E's and actually a friend of mine is having a complete turbo-kit for the 3SFE engine lying around as his own engine couldn't stand it (lean burn, not adjusted correctly).

It was 251bhp at 1.1bar when it was driving :P

There are different kind of CT26 turbo, from MR2 SW21, Celica T16/18/20 and Supras MA71 and depending on the manifold you will use (the one from T16 fits directly on to you engine) the turbo will match. Somebody else should know about this

have you thought about all the other things nescessary? .. like lowered compression, fuel management, exhaust and so forth?

I'm not THAT much into fitting a turbo onto your original engine, as you can understand, but there are a lot more things to doing it, than just the turbo ;)

But the only problem is the manifold.

But i think the CT26 is a good upgrade and on eBay there are some CT26 turbo's for not much money.

I will fit a T3 turbo on my EP82 :D
