1zz-s62 Engine

hi i have just had a new engine replaced in my toyota celica VVti gen 7 the number code i have is 1ZZ-S62 can any one tell me what engine this has come out from i cant see any thing with this engine code i thought the code should be 1ZZ - FE any help plaese

It will have come out of a Celica, MR2 or Corolla. I cant think of any other Toyota that uses the 1ZZ.

It doesnt really matter which it came out of as they are all interchangeable.

I would look for the engine number, its stamped into the block. Just to double check that they actually have changed it.

Compare it to the engine number on the V5, that should quickly tell you if they have fitted a new engine or have BS'd you. :thumbsup:

Thanks for getting back there is a 7 didget number but i cant tell what car they have taken it from i have typed the 1zz-s6 number in google and still nothing comes for that type off engine when i put my old engine code it comes up staight away with toyota celica gen 7 engine :unsure:
