D4d Re-map Or Re-chip?

I have a 2002 RAV4 with the D4D. Does anyone have any experience with having the ECU Re-mapped or re-chipped? I'd like to see both more power, and with a light right foot, better fuel economy. Does anyone have any experience with re-mapping or re-chipping the D4D? I approach this with caution and would like to hear other peoples experiences, good and bad. Also if there are companies either that you can recommend or ones that I should avoid.

I wondered why it was that the companies that were offering remaps for other vehicles didn't include this make and model. Thanks, I'll be looking into this further.
