Hi,

I have had my F reg toyota carina 11 for 20 years without fault, however the front tyres are wearing badly on the inside and have been told it is the wishbones and will cost about £500, is this about right or expensive.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

That sounds expensive. I changed my front left wishbone, lower ball joint, anti-roll bar link and track rod end only today (MoT retest tomorrow!) and all of these parts cost £101 for my Carina E. Ok so I know it's cheaper to do it myself - however the local independent garage quoted £180 for the same work. Even both sides shouldn't be more than about £250/350.
