What was the reason because of which it wouldn't work? Visually it looks the same, button holes have same size and shape...

Best regards, Alex

I have no idea initially he was even saying it would work but asked to send pics to confirm later he said he had confirm it that it wouldn't work. I don't think he wanted to loose a deal. He either got the confirmation or simply didn't want to take the chance of saying yes and later wouldn't work. If you guys want to try.... just let us know if it works.

At least the one from China confirmed me that it works. Don't forget that a user stated here that his Shell didn't work because it was made for Auris Autralia and they use Denso parts in the key not Valeo. Visually may be the same but the transponder might not fit inside at the same position.

Hi.

I have bougth a long time ago this key, in order to work you should check the maker of your key, if it is denso, yes it will work, if its valeo, well you will have to make some modifications.

Modifications to make if your original key is from valeo:

1-The blade isn't the same, you will have to make a key and brake it in order to remove the blade, cut it and put in this key.

2-The buttons are a little diferent, :( cos i didnt want to modify the original buttons, well the option was: make a new ones with rubber, and they worked. :)

I have the key for about one year, and it works fine, problems: zero.

Well, sometimes it opens im my pocket, but nothing is perfect!

Best regards

Do you mean the key which is sold by that guy from AU? Any pics of your key please?

If it's not too difficult, could you also take pics from the inside? I did not quite understand what to do with it to make everything fit... :(

Best regards, Alex

I've been using my universal key for two years now and it is in better condition. Only some paint went off from inside the Toyota logo on the back... Don't know if it's because of using it in different way or because of material quality.

Thank you for the pictures, after looking at them I started to wonder how did you manage to make those buttons?

Also when you wrote what did you have to modify to make it work you were talking about different blade... Did you mean that metal part which is sticked into the car's lock? If yes, how did you attach the old one to your new key

Did the transmitter fit well inside the Shell? I guess it has to be inserted vertically, eg. turned 90 degrees compared to universal as the button holes are positioned in a different way compared to universal key. Or was that the reason because of which you had to make new buttons, because you couldn't turn the transmitter as it wouldn't fit that way?

Best regards, Alex
