Hi all, Today my aerial will only go down when I help it along.

Does this mean I need a new one. The motor is still running (you can hear it trying to lower the aerial.

Is there a nut loose or is this an indication that I need a new one.

Any help before I strip the back out tomorrow would be great.

Cheers

Big E.

the plastic threaded cord inside the ariel fails - ie bits snap off over time and jam the cogs that drive it, new mast at toyota £45 inc fitting.

Hi GT4 Booster... I wish we had a direct contact as you seem to have every answer.... Thanks.

Is it just the aerial that need replacing or do I have to trace it back to the front of the car behind the radio.

ie: Do I just remove the old and replace with new or is it more drastic..

Cheers

you need a new mast , strip out the boot area on ariel side to gain acess . id let toyota do it as trimming it to stop at the correct position can be a pain. its all in the boot mate no need to go front end.
