My Yaris...

Howdy folks, I've just bought my Yaris T-Sport (Vitz RS) direct from my local Japanese Importer (my gf's cousin) and I was just wondering if anyone can identify the bodykit? As I have no idea how much it's worth for insurance purposes!!

Have to say; I've had it for a week now, and it's the most awesome car I've ever owned, and I've owned a few!!!! Blows my BMW out of the water, which is what I traded in for it :)

Many thanks in advance for your help,

Dan

Looking at your profile you say it’s a 1.3? The wheels on the car look like they are from a T-Spirit, the side skirts aren’t standard T-Sport ones.

Are you sure it’s a T-Sport (RS) and not a lower model made to look like a T-Sport?

ignore the above...It's definitely a 1.3 RS Vitz (RS Vitz were made in both 1.3 AND 1.5) with a 3rd party bodykit on.

Looks like the Axis bodykit but slightly different?....hmmm

Indeed it is an RS, as the previous poster said... the Japanese Yaris (Vitz) came in 1.3 and 1.5 flavours... though, it's a 1.3 that you'd THINK was a 1.5 the way it drives... the Japanese person who owned it before me has done pretty much everything to it already, which is thankful as I do like to play with my cars, which is why I opted for this one over a bog standard one off the car yard.

I've actually only ever seen one other yaris/vitz/echo (depending on your region, they all have different names... before I came here (NZ) I thought they were only called Yaris's) with this body kit, and it's still for sale from Japan.

I actually discovered something interesting today, and that is; a lot of the aftermarket parts in the engine bear the mark of TRD, so whilst I don't know the exact history of the car, I'm begining to think that there's a lot more to this little Vitz story! Still loving it though :) i just wanna find out who made the bodykit and how much, so that the AA don't slaughter me on insurance, because when they saw the photo's, they made me insure the bodykit alone for $2000!! ... Still, at least if it all goes horribly wrong, I'm covered... First road trip this weekend, going to drive down to Taupo from Auckland! So if there are any Kiwi's on this site... lookout for the Englishman with the mad grin on his face driving the little black Vitz :D
