I have a CarinaE CD 1997,1.8 hatch. We have started to get quite severe Ingres of water into the back set foot area and the passenger seat (so on the near side. I understand that the rain blown against the respective windows flows down through the door onto the tread and then away presumably? Somehow a large amount is finding its way under the carpet in the rear foot well (O/S). what should I be looking for that is not doing its job (seals = draining???). Help please, i am getting really fed up with driving along and getting steamed up (in more ways than one!!!!!) Many thanks to anyone who can help Dave

As I had nil response to my request for help, and there I was getting steamed up all the time, I looked around other sites and came across one replying to a similar request from a Seat Cupra owner. It seems pretty thorough and whilst not about the Carina I reckon the basics will apply. So here it is at www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44216. So armed with this a large hammer lol and my paltry collection of spanners et el will attempt this feat next weekend, assuing the weather is ok. Hope this is useful to all those with similar problems with leaking cars. pip pip Dave
