hi all

my mate has a 90's toyota starlet, it's the EP80 model, boggo 1 litre, in fetching bright red

we decided that for the upcoming retro-rides show (this weekend!) we'd drop the suspension a bit, and fit some bigger steels to fill the arches a bit better

all was going well, we got some 15" steels, got 195 and 185/55's put on, and proceeded to start on the springs. Now, 'proper' lowered springs were a bit out of range, so we went for cut coils with the good old angle grinder (I know that a lot of people don't agree with doing this, but we took care doing it - it's not a total bodge job)

However, the problems arose when I spotted the osf caliper bolts had been chewed up somewhat the last time the caliper was off, so I took it upon myself to order some brand new bolts from toyota. As these were being fitted, the bottom one VERY unforunately sheared off in the caliper carrier, which of course is part of the hub! (I'm not passing the blame - but I wasn't tightening them!!)

Thankfully, I have a good mate who is in the scrap trade, who is pretty damn good at getting bits of broken stud out, but on this occasion it went slightly wrong, had to be tapped, and the tap went very slightly off course - we can get the bolt in, but it's not quite square

so - what we need is a hub / caliper carrier for an EP80 starlet - I'll be posting a wanted ad in a minute, but i'm trying to find out if there is any compatibility with earlier / later starlets? - I've been offered a hub for an EP82 starlet, but I want to check the shaft willl be the same etc - also what about the later EP90 starlets?? - typically there's loads of that type being broken on eBay!!

any help you guys could offer would be MUCH appreciated!!

- cheers! - kev
