I have just purchased an MR2 2L G-Ltd import 1991. I am having problems finding out the size of the Speakers in the doors? Also how do I get the door panels off?

Can't remember the speaker size off hand, I think they're 6" maybe 5". Panel removal is easy. Undo all the screws - 3 - 4 in the bottom of the door panel i.e. paralell to the side pockets - remove one from the inside of the interior handle, and one to the top right of the door - this is covered by a plastic cap. The only other thing holding the door on are several clips. Ensure all screws are removed, and pull the panel away from the door, starting at the bottom and working your way up. It's much easier to remove if the windows are down. Finally unhook the panel from the top of the door i.e. where the window comes out and you're done.

Im pretty sure 6" too.....you can fit in 6.5's though with a small bit modifying.

I've just fitted 6.5" as Kiwi says little bit of modyfying needed, but they sound great once fitted. I managed the task in a morning. Basically you'll find that a larger speaker won't fit in the stock hole. Therefore you can either enlarge the hole, or raise the speaker around 1/2" out of the hole to allow it to fit (I took this option since there's plenty of room in the panel that fits over the top). You'll also have to redrill the mounting holes since they're in a funny place on the standard Speakers. I used cork to cushion the speaker from virbration, was able to cut this into 1/2" pieces too to fill in the gap.
