Hi all,

This is my first post! Hoping someone can help me :)

I've just bought a Starlet GT Turbo, and I dont think its as quick as it should be! The Factory boost controller was not connected when I got the car (turbo and all piping was removed), so I linked the actuator directly to boost. I have connected a boost guage, and it makes 5psi, and I would say it's about as quick as a 1.6 ford escort! I know the high boost setting is about 9psi, will this make much difference? Is anyone elses starlet really not fast on low boost? I have done a compression test on the cylinders, and it reads just over 125 on all 4. Is this right? My 200sx (SR20DET) was 175!

Also, does anyone know how to link up the standard boost controller (it would be nice to use the low boost button in the car!). I thought I would test it, so I put pipes on both connections, and tried blowing through each one. Regardless of whether the low boost switch was on or not, I couldnt blow any air through it. Is this correct? I'm not sure how it works, I assumed it would allow all air through on high boost, and just restrict the flow on low boost (like a bleed valve), but I couldnt blow any air through on either settings.

Any help would be much appreciated, it will be a right pain having to drive around on low boost all the time!

Thanks

Graham
