Gen6 Gt Jdm

I had a caliper piston seize the other day and took it for a quick service, while there i asked the lad to price up a new caliper cos i know its gonna need replacing sooner rather than later.

lad reckons that the Jap GT uses different parts to the UK GT, is this true?

spoke to a mate and he says the MR-2 uses the same calipers as a Celica?

Also thinking of getting some reconditioned calipers (or maybe new depending on price) and getting them painted red to match the car. Only a thought and never tried this before so any tips please?

i'd imagine they are same as uk models , all gen 6 celicas are imports as such . go to that site and look at the pictures and compare them with your calipers.

the only difference i can think of with the celica was the disc sizes and pad sizes - some discs were 28mm thick and some 25mm thick , you need the correct caliper to suit , there seems to be 4 front calipers to choose from .
