Did you not get an "Owners Manual" with your new IQ?

The IQ that I test drove had no need for uprated headlights as the standard headlights were more than adequate :)

They are HIR 2 lights......same as in the Dodge Viper and quite rare.

And the tyres are the same as on my bike and quite rare...

And the interior's platics are the same as a lada an quite rare...

Cheap or expensive they just decided to use rare things for the IQ !

I went and asked at a technical control center and they do not have yet information on authorized tyre sizes in france... a feww months ago we could finr it out by ourselves calculating the wheel averall size... but they decided it was too simple... and now we must choose in specific tyre sizes... which we don't know yet for now.

toyota Iq tyres and wipers and headlights are very hard to replace as someone have posted. My next car will have to check if they use such parts it is like the inkjet printer manufacturers and the Iq is more expensive than other simialr makes/models. Headlights are £55 per bulb.

I never got round to changing my 2010 iQ's headlight bulbs. I thought about it many times, because they weren't very bright and didn't provide a lot of ground coverage. The best way I can describe it is was like the lenses were permanently covered in a fine layer of dirty road spray.

Would these things do the trick?...

There is nothing to say how much light they produce (lumens) - also the description doesn't say whether or not they are 'E' marked (an 'E' marked bulb is legal to use in the EU - a bulb that is not 'E' marked isn't legal to use in the EU).

When I last looked at this, HIR2/9012 bulbs produced approx 75% more light than standard fit halogen bulbs.

HB4/9006 bulbs will fit after a tab is cut off the base.

HB4/9006 bulbs are available in upgraded versions like Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited (110% more light than a standard halogen bulb), and, on the face of it, may give brighter lighting than the HIR2 bulbs.
